How Far Are You from Home?

A Few Inches or A Thousand Miles?

[This is a message from Jesus we received while in prayer February 20,
2024 as we were thinking about starting a publication. We asked for the first message for The Way Home for our readers…
I was telling Him that I want to help people get closer to Him and be on the right pathway and not be surprised at the end of the road if they had been lukewarm that the Lord might reject them (as in the parable of the 10 virgins (Matthew 25) or in Revelation 3:16 when He says “So I will spit you out of my mouth, because you are only warm and not hot or cold”).

This message is in the context of SAVED Christians and their walk. God is so PRESENT with us as we pray and wants all of us to come home to Him! Here is the message…

How far are you from your spiritual home?

There is a way home, but are you inches or thousands of miles away?

The question, “How far are you from home?” (hopefully) makes you stop and ponder your life and the purpose it serves.

Who is at home?

Why do you want to go there?

What are you expecting?

And that is what I would like to talk about now, what are you expecting at home?

As reborn Christians you aspire towards being in Heaven with Jesus and praising the Lord, yet when you are at the gates, when you are at the judgement seat, how sure are you that you are to be embraced?

Will the Lord Jesus know you?

Or considering how you have led your life, will your name be removed from the Book of Life, and you will be told to depart? (Matthew 7:21-23)

Besides the few who have been to Heaven, have met Jesus, have had prolonged discussions with Him and returned to be amongst us and say that their place in Heaven is assured…the remainder of us cannot say that with any certainty.

All we do is think of recent sins that we have yet to confess or repent for.  If we repent for them, do we not immediately do them again the day after that or every day thereafter?  Are we in a cycle of sinning and repenting, sinning and repenting?

How many can honestly say that they are excited to go home with any certainty of their destination?

The key thing here is the trip you are taking: be it an inch or a thousand miles, understand, that your pathway to home is important.

Your mindset, your soul and your communication with the Lord Jesus through your spirit are key parts of the test that you are going through, the refining that you are going through.

When you get to Heaven’s gates, aim to be found pure, unblemished and delightfully accepted to be amongst those glorious saints in Heaven, endlessly praising the Lord in a place of love, tranquility, peace and pure joy that you cannot comprehend here on earth.

So, understand what home means to you.  Feel that deep inside. It is natural to have fear of unknown outcomes; but understand that your journey home (the path you choose and how you walk now that you know Jesus) is key to keeping you headed in the Godly direction.

Embrace a life that is congruent with the Lord’s commandments, statutes, righteousness and guidance.  Live your lives within those bounds.

It is by following that path that we can be more and more assured of our home being one of loving acceptance by the Lord Jesus.  It is easy to be pulled sideways, away from that path.  Satan, and the demons, are doing it every day to hundreds of millions of people.  But you need to stay true

I can’t wait to see you at home and embrace you, my child.
