Hey guys - sorry this edition was delayed by a day. My computer had a major meltdown and was spewing radioactive nasties at me to the point of my whole body feeling burnt from my eyes to my knees! It was crazy. (prayer welcome!)
I had to replace my computer and it took me a day to get everything sorted out. But you can look forward to next week when I talk about how to protect yourself from cancer causing EMFs because I learned a lot yesterday!

Feeling Isolated Can Impact Your Mortality as Much as Smoking 15 Cigarettes a Day
We try all kinds of things to improve our longevity and they are all important (eat right, exercise, get lots of sleep, take vitamin C) but here’s one you can do, that you wouldn’t have thought of, that will impact you in substantial way!
Research is showing that having more social connections could decrease your likelihood of heart disease by 30 percent and your risk of dementia by 50 percent! These are staggering numbers!
They found that feeling isolated can speed up aging as much as smoking 15 cigarettes per day or having 6 drinks (effectively adding 1.65 years to your biological age).
But even more important than just surrounding yourself with lots of people (I always feel alone in a crowd) the key was to connect with people who share your values, beliefs, and interests.
And this is great news for church goers! It’s no wonder that societal ills have sky-rocketed in the wake of people attending church less often. And it puts one more emphasis on the scripture - do not forsake the meeting together as some do! Even in times of persecution, it is best to be meeting with those who love Jesus and share your desire to be in His presence and growing in His love and life.
(And, I’m guessing, that the numbers would be even more dramatic if they chose to study those that are meeting together in the Lord’s presence which goes far beyond human happiness and togetherness!)
